| Gardens and landscaping
are usually beautiful in the springtime and early summer. But what about
the dog-days of August? In the snowy months of winter? Will your landscape
be beautiful even during New England’s “mud-season?!” At Hickory Ridge
Nursery we keep in mind that your landscape has to perform twelve months
of the year. |
|
| To achieve that end we use a blend of deciduous and evergreen trees and shrubs, keeping in mind what they look like at various seasons. Many of our choices, such as the burning bush have great fall color; we also use ornamental trees such as the Japanese cherry or Star Magnolia that produce astonishing blooms in the early spring months. We choose varieties of flowers that bloom throughout the summer months and employ hardy varieties of shrubs that have character even in winter. | |
